Greetings from Mary’s Kitchen and Gardens! In the midst of this chilly season, we are already thinking about the produce we will plant, tend, and gather from next year’s gardens. We’d like you to think about that produce, too!

This will be the second year that we offer subscription shares of produce. These are called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares because by ordering your produce in advance, you support our business and help us know how much to plant. Plus, you get a fantastic deal on a weekly cornucopia of chemical-free produce.

You’ll be amazed at how much time and money you’ll save at the grocery store when you’re getting your vegetables fresh from the farm! Each week’s share will include your favorite vegetables as well as a few new items for you to experiment with. The season runs from about June 1 through the middle of September– about fifteen weeks. There are three sizes of share to choose from, and you can choose to pick up your share at our farm, at one of our farmers market locations, or have it delivered.



• Full Share: $575 – This should be plenty of produce for a family of four.

• Half Share: $400 – This would be a better option for a family of two or a single party.

• Single Share: $225 – This option would be best for a single person or a family that would like to try us out.

Add-ons:

• Home delivery: $50 for the whole CSA season, availability depending on your location.

• Eggs: Farm fresh eggs! $3 per dozen or $45 for a dozen each week for the whole CSA season.

We are so excited to provide you and your family with homegrown, farm-fresh vegetables, raised according to organic principles. Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions you may have prior to submitting your registration. If you need to make a payment plan in order to fit your budget, just let us know. We would also like to offer a few shares to those of you who are interested in a "Work Share." This would allow you to work alongside us in the gardens during planting and harvesting in exchange for your share of produce.

Landscape Garden Center Sat&Sun November 23rd and 24th!!!

We are going to be at Landscape Garden Center this weekend for their Christmas Open House   Sat 9-5 and Sun 11-5
I wil have a wide variety of Baked Goods: Salted Nut Rolls, Texas Brownies, Apple Pie Bars, Party Mix, Caramel Crispex. Breads: Zucchini, Banana, Pumpkin, Lemon and Chocolate.
I will also be bringing canned Goods:  Dill Pickles, Bread and Butter Pickles, Pickled Beets, Banana Pepper Rings, Salsa, Dilly Beans.  Jams and Jellies:  Jalapeno, Grape, Mulberry, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Pear Preserves, Apple Butter   I also have Dehydrated Peppers and Eggplant for making your favorite soups or hotdishes.  Dried Beans: Calypso and Yellow Kenearney.

I dropped off some Fresh Vegetables this afternoon at Local Food Coop: Parsnips, Kohlrabi and Peppers. Also at Pomegranate Market Bistro: Beets, Kale, and Sage. Please visit these merchants that support local Farmers!!'
I will be at 8th& RR on Saturday for the Fall Festival sponsored by Josia's and the other merchants at that location. Stop down and hi and pick up some canned goods or fresh baked goodies.

Harrisburg Farmers Market 4-7 in Harrisburg October 9th

I will be in Harrisburg tomorrow  from 4-7!!  I will have an assortment of Peppers, Tomatoes and Winter Squashes: Acorn, Buttercup and Butternut.  Onions, Potatoes, Green Beans, Eggplant, Kale, Lettuce, Kohlrabi.  I will also have a variety of Canned Goods and Baked Breads. Hope to see you tomorrow!!

No Market in Harrisburg on Saturday 10/5 Will be there next Wednesday!!

Based on how the weather is shaping up for today and tomorrow I will not be in Harrisburg Saturday for market.  Easier to make the decision today instead of waiting till morning.  I will plan on being in Harrisburg next Wednesday 10/8!!
Hope you have a great weekend: I am going to be making homemade Tomato Soup and work on cleaning apples etc.  See you next Wednesday!

Wednesday October 2nd in Harrisburg 4-7!!

Tomorrow I will be in Harrisburg from 4-7 and have a nice variety of Fresh Produce:  Green and colored Peppers. Banana Peppers and Jalapenos and Lemon Drop peppers. Kale, Arugula, Eggplant, Green and Purple Cabbage, Onions, Tomatoes, Romas, Parsnips, Rutabagas, Turnips, Potatoes.  I also have a few Zucchini, Acorn, Buttercup and Butternut Squash. I will also have a wide variety of Canned Goods and Homemade Breads. I just finished a new batch of Apple Butter so will bring some along.  Saturday will probably be our last market for the season in Harrisburg so be sure to stop down and stock up on some goodies and say hello!!  Have a great week!!

Farmers Market in Harrisburg Saturday September 28th!!

Another month almost done.  Amazing how fast Summer and the Market season has went!!  I will be in Harrisburg tomorrow from 9-2. I will have Farm Fresh Eggs along with a variety of Fresh Produce.  I will have Eggplant, Slicing Tomatoes, Romas and Cherry Tomatoes.  Green Peppers, Colored Peppers, Jalapenos, Banana Peppers and Lemon Drop Peppers.  Lettuce, Kale, Arugula, Parsnips, Carrots, Rutabagas and Turnips.  It is starting to feel like fall and the root vegetables make great soups, also sautéed and Roasts.  Acorn, Buttercup and Butternut Squash and Sweet Dumpling Squash too.  Onions, Beets, Swiss Chard, Kohlrabi, Purple Cabbage, Fennel, Sage and Parsley. I will also have a variety of Canned Goods and Homemade Breads.
I am also going to be bringing Ornamental Corn, Mini Pumpkins and some unique Pumpkins as well.  I hope to see you all tomorrow in Harrisburg. We are getting close to the end of Markets so stop down and pick up some great Produce.  Have a great weekend!!

Farmers Market in Harrisburg Wednesday Sept 25th 4-7

I will be in Harrisburg Wednesday from 4-7 with a lot of Fresh Produce!!  I will have Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Onions, Potatoes, Mild and Hot Peppers, some Orange, Brown and Red.  Kale, Arugula, Beets, Kohlrabi, Acorn, Butternut, Buttercup Squash. Purple Cabbage and Swiss Chard, Carrots, Green Beans.
I will also have an assortment of canned goods: Pickles, Dilly Beans, Jams and Jellies, Salsa and Pickled Beets.  Banana, Zucchini, Chocolate Breads.    Hope to see you tomorrow in Harrisburg!!

Saturday Sept 21 Harrisburg 9-12 Landscape Garden Center 9-2

Lee will be in Harrisburg from 9-12 tomorrow so be sure and stop early.
He will have an assortment of Winter Squashes, Potatoes, Onions, Peppers, Sweet and Hot, Kohlrabi, Kale and Arugula. As well as an assortment of canned goods and Breads.
I will be at Landscape Garden Centers for the Fall Event 9-2!  This will also be the last market at this location for this season.  Thank you all for your support.  I will have an assortment of Canned goods, Pickles, Jams/Jellies, Salsa.  I also will have Apple Pie Bars, Texas Brownies, Cookies and Breads: Zucchini, Banana, Chocolate.

Farmers Market in Harrisburg Wednesday 4-7!!

What a great day today and the cool weather is very welcome although tomorrow is supposed to be 90!!
Tomorrow in Harrisburg I will have some great fresh produce:  Red Potatoes, Onions, Green and Colored Peppers, Jalapenos, Banana Peppers.  Eggplant, Slicing Cucumbers ( The last of them)  Green Beans, Really nice Slicing Tomatoes and a few Romas.  Acorn, Butternut, Buttercup, Spaghetti and Sweet Dumpling Squash. I will also have a few Tennessee Sweet Potato Squash ( These are a really nice orange squash) great for soup or roasting. Arugula, Kale, Green and Purple Cabbage, Beets, Swiss Chard and Zucchini.  I will also bring a few Pie Pumpkins and Small Watermelons.

I will also have a variety of Canned Goods and Fresh Banana, Zucchini and Chocolate Bread.  Hope to see you in Harrisburg tomorrow 4-7
Saturday Landscape Garden Centers will have their Fall Festival: Be sure to stop down and check it out.  I will have some produce and extra goodies for you to try.  I think that Saturday will also be my last week at Landscape Garden Center for the year and we will have Wednesday and Saturday Markets in Harrisburg for a few more weeks.  Thank you so much for your support this Produce Season!!

Tomorrow in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center we will have Beets, Swiss Chard, Potatoes, Acorn, Buttercup, Butternut, Spaghetti, Sweet Dumpling Squash. Zucchini, Kale, Arugala, Onions, Green and Purple Cabbage, Kohlrabi, Eggplant, Colored peppers, Mild and Hot.   Slicing Cucumbers, Slicing Tomatoes ( Give me a call or send me an email if you are looking for canning tomatoes)  Really nice red tomatoes for salsa or sauces.  Muskmelon, Watermelon- just about done with the melons for the season
Also bringing Whole and Dill Spears, Dilly Beans, Salsa, Pickled Beets and Bread and Butter Pickles.  Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam, Mulberry Jam, Pear Preserves, Jalapeno Jelly, Grape Jam.  Banana, Zucchini, Chocolate Bread.  We will both have Farm Fresh Eggs available!!

Wednesday September 11th in Harrisburg 4-7!!

Tomorrow in Harrisburg from 4-7 we will have:  Farm Fresh Eggs!! I have really nice Red Slicing Tomatoes, some Romas and Cherry Tomatoes. Green and Orange Peppers, Banana Peppers, Jalapenos, Green Beans, Broccoli, Swiss Chard, Fennel, Kale, Green and Purple Cabbage, Watermelon and Muskmelon, Kohlrabi, Onions, Carrots, Yukon Gold, Red and Purple Potatoes.  Slicing Cucumbers, Acorn, Buttercup, Butternut, Spaghetti and Sweet Dumpling Squash. I will also have a nice variety of Canned Goods for you to try out!! 

Saturday Sept 7th in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center 9-2

I know there is a lot going on in Sioux Falls tomorrow but hopefully you have a chance to stop and see Lee in Harrisburg or me at Landscape Garden Center 9-2

We will both have Farm Fresh Eggs so be sure to ask!  We will also have some great tasting Watermelon and Muskmelons!!  Acorn, Buttercup, Spaghetti and Sweet Dumpling Squash.  We will also have Zucchini, Purple and Yukon Gold Potatoes. Beautiful Red Slicing Tomatoes, Romas, and Cherry Tomatoes!!  Large Green  and Orange Peppers, Banana Peppers, Jalapenos and some Lemon Peppers.  Green and Purple Cabbage, Kale, Green Beans, Onions, Lemon Cucumbers, Eggplant, Carrots.  We will also have Whole Dill, and Dill Spears for Pickles, Salsa, Bread and Butter Pickles, Mulberry Jam, Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam, Pear Preserves, Grape Jam and Jalapeno Jelly

Wednesday September 4th in Harrisburg 4-7!!

September already?  Time is flying.  Wednesday in Harrisburg 4-7 we will have some great tasting Schoon's Hardshell Muskmelons and Sugar Baby Watermelons!!  Really nice Red and Yellow Slicing Tomatoes, Roma Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes. Green and Purple Cabbage. Fresh Green Beans and Purple beans too. These are both Pole Beans so just getting into production with them. Giant Green Peppers, Banana Peppers and Jalapenos.  Kohlrabi, Eggplant, Carrots, Onions, Kale and Arugula.  Slicing Cucumbers and Lemon Cucumbers. ( These are slowing down quite a bit so this may be the last week for them)  Yukon Gold Potatoes, Spaghetti Squash, Acorn, Butternut, Buttercup Winter Squashes.  Zucchini.

I made a fresh batch of Pear Preserves: Great on Toast or even IceCream!  Also will have Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam, Mulberry Jam, Grape Jam and Jalapeno Jelly.  Pickled Beets, Salsa, Bread and Butter Pickles, Whole Dill and Dill Spear Pickles, Dilly Beans. I will also have Banana Bread and Zucchini Bread.

Saturday Farmers Market in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center 9-2 Watermelon& Cantaloupe

Tomorrow we will be at Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center 9-2
We will have some great tasting Watermelon & Cantaloupe!!
We will also have Red and Yellow Slicing Tomatoes, Romas and Cherry Tomatoes.  Giant Green Peppers( Great for Stuffed Peppers)  Banana Peppers and Jalapenos. Broccoli, Kale, Acorn Squash, Slicing Cucumbers and Lemon Cucumbers.  Eggplant, Carrots, Yukon Gold Potatoes, Beets, Zucchini, Kohlrabi, Green and Purple Cabbage
Also, the Dill Pickle Spears are finally ready and they taste great!!  Also bringing Whole Dill Pickles, Dilly Beans,  Pickled Beets, Bread and Butter Pickles and Salsa.  Mulberry Jam, Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam, Grape Jam, Jalapeno Jelly also fresh Baked Breads. Wednesday August 28th in Harrisburg 4-7

Tomorrow in Harrisburg we will have:  Potatoes, Slicing Cucumbers, Lemon Cucumbers, Slicing Tomatoes: Red and Yellow, Cherry Tomatoes.  Very nice Roma Tomatoes:  If you are wanting to make Salsa or Sauce now would be a good time to pick some up!!  Green Beans, Eggplant, Very Nice Green Peppers, Banana Peppers and Jalapenos.  Colored Carrots, Beets, Zucchini, Kale, Green and Purple Cabbage, Spaghetti Squash, Broccoli, Swiss Chard.

I will also have Dill Pickles, Dilly Beans, Pickled Beets, Bread and Butter Pickles, Salsa.  Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam, Grape Jam, Mulberry Jam and Jalapeno Jelly. Saturday August 24th in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center 9-2

It has really been a long hard week in the gardens.  The weeds seem to be winning but the produce is looking really well!!  Tomorrow in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center week will have Potatoes, Onions, Kohlrabi, Green Beans, Green and Purple Cabbage. Some really nice Eggplant. Slicing Cucumbers, Lemon Cucumbers, Zucchini, Spaghetti Squash, Broccoli. Some very nice Green Peppers, Banana Peppers, Jalapenos, Colored Carrots, Beets. Some Slicing Tomatoes-mostly yellow and Romas.

We will also have a nice variety of canned goods: Jams, Salsa, Pickles and Dilly Beans and Fresh Baked Bread. Have a great weekend and hope to see you tomorrow!!

Wednesday August 21st in Harrisburg 4-7pm

Hope you are enjoying the warmer weather. It is helping to ripen the Melons and Tomatoes.  Tomorrow in Harrisburg we will have a very nice selection of Fresh Vegetables:  Yukon Gold Potatoes, Green and Purple Beans, Carrots, Beets, Turnips, Swiss Chard, Kohlrabi, Onions, Tomatoes: Roma, some slicing as well.  Patty Pan Squash, Zucchini, Slicing Cucumbers, Lemon Cucumbers, Peppers: Green ( really nice size) Banana, Jalapenos.  Kale, Green and Purple Cabbage, Parsley, Sage, Chives, Eggplant, Broccoli.  I will also have a wide variety of Canned Goods and Homemade Breads.  Have a great day and hope to see you in Harrisburg Tomorrow 4-7

Saturday August 17th in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center 9-2!!

We really had a long day today getting ready for market but the weather was great. 
Hope you all had a great week and have time to stop down at market tomorrow in Harrisburg and also Landscape Garden Center  4-7!!


Tomorrow we will have a large variety of Fresh Produce for you: Cherry Tomatoes. Lee will have a few slicing tomatoes and Romas.  The warm weather we are supposed to get next week should put a fire under these tomatoes so they can ripen..  We will also have Eggplant, Green Beans, Cabbage, Purple Cabbage, Kale, Onions, Turnips, Rutabagas, Green Peppers, Banana Peppers, Jalapenos.  Patty Pan Squash, Zucchini-all colors.  Colored Carrots, Kohlrabi, Yukon Gold Potatoes, Cucumbers, Lemon Cucumbers, Pak Choi .  Lee will also have a few Acorn and Spaghetti Squash.

We will also have Whole Dill Pickles, Dilly Beans, Pickled Beets, Salsa, Bread and Butter Pickles. Jams: Mulberry, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Grape. Apple Butter.  I also made some fresh breads: Banana, Zucchini, Chocolate.  Hope to see you tomorrow at either Harrisburg or Landscape Garden Center!!

Wow August is flying by!  We will be in Harrisburg tomorrow from 4-7 and we will have:  Green Beans, Purple Beans, Pak Choi, Cabbage ( Green and Purple), Green Peppers, Banana Peppers, Jalapeno Peppers, Cucumbers, Lemon Cucumbers, Swiss Chard, Beets, Turnips, Zucchini, Kale, Onions, Yukon Gold Potatoes, Carrots  I will also have some Farm Fresh Eggs available...

Saturday August 11th in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center!!

What a beautiful week it has been outside and the hope of some rain tomorrow. Tomorrow at market we will have Spring Lettuce, Romaine, Kale. Cabbage, Green and Purple. Broccoli, Cauliflower, Eggplant, Kohlrabi, a few Spaghetti Squash, Zucchini in a variety of colors, Potatoes, Swiss Chard, Beets, Turnips, Rutabagas, Carrots, Cherry Tomatoes, Peppers (Green, Jalapenos, Banana) Slicing Cucumbers and Lemon Cucumbers.

I will also have Dill Pickles, Bread and Butter Pickles, Pickled Beets, Salsa. Mulberry, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Grape Jam. Today in Harrisburg:  We will have Turnips, Beets, Rutabagas, Carrots, Onions, Swiss Chard, Cucumbers, Lemon Cucumbers, Eggplant, Broccoli, Purple and Green Cabbage, Pak Choi, Zucchini ( all sizes and colors) Kohlrabi, Yukon Gold Potatoes, Kale.  Lee is checking the Sweet Corn and Watermelons this morning so we may have a few of those as well.  Hope to see you this afternoon.  I will also have an assortment of breads and canned goods.

Saturday August 3rd in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center!!

Took some beautiful Swiss Chard to the Natural Coop yesterday. Busy day today: Baking, Picking, Cleaning and packaging for tomorrow. Picking in the rain was a change but actually really nice outside. Tomorrow in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center we will have Green Cabbage and Purple too. Pak Choi, Kale, Zucchini, Potatoes, Carrots, Onions, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Beets, Turnips, Swiss Chard, Slicing Cucumbers, Scallop Squash, Kohlrabi. Fresh Breads, Jams and Jellies, Dill Pickles, Dilly Beans, Pickled Beets, Salsa and More. Have a great weekend and hope to see you tomorrow in Harrisburg or at Landscape Garden Center!! We are hoping to have some Watermelon ready next Week!  Also we have Gift Certificates available for you to purchase a gift of Fresh Vegetables for a friend or family member. Wow it is almost August!!  I am hoping for a really long Fall.

Green Beans, Purple Beans, Cherry Tomatoes, Beets, Carrots, Turnips, Cauliflower, Lettuce, Kale, Cabbage,( Green and Purple) Swiss Chard. Kohlrabi, Peppers ( Green and Banana)

Tomorrow we will have Cucumbers of all sizes and Lemon Cucumbers too.  Lettuce Mix, Romaine, Kale, and Spinach. Broccoli, Cauliflower, Zucchini (All Sizes and colors) Green Beans and Purple Beans. Yukon Gold Potatoes. Cherry Tomatoes, Swiss Chard, Beets, Turnips, Onions, Snow Peas, Eggplant (the first of the year)

Wednesday in Harrisburg 4-7!!

Tomorrow we will be in Harrisburg and have an assortment of Breads and Canned Goods.  We will also have Potatoes, Onions, Green Beans: Early Contender, Trofeo, and Purple Beans.  Cabbage: Green and Purple. Saturday July 20th in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center 9-2

Tomorrow in Harrisburg and Landscape Garden Center we will have:  Yukon Gold Potatoes, Onions, Slicing Cucumbers and also some pickling size. Lemon Cucumbers, Green Beans, A few Green Peppers and Banana Peppers and Cherry Tomatoes. We will have an assortment of Zucchini, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Turnips, Beets. Romaine Lettuce, Spring Mix, Kale, Green and Purple Cabbage. 

Also bringing some Yummy breads: Zucchini, Banana and Chocolate. An assortment of Jams, Jellies, Salsa, Bread and Butter Pickles, Pickled Beets, Dill Pickles and Dilly Beans. What beautiful weather we are having and the grass is still green!!

Tomorrow in Harrisburg I will have: Slicing Cucumbers and Lemon Cucumber.  Let me know if you are needing a bunch for Pickles!!  Beautiful Cauliflower, Broccoli, Spring Mix Lettuce, Romaine, Kale. Swiss Chard, Radishes, Onions, Beets, Turnips, Zucchini, Green Beans, Snow Peas and Peas with edible Pods.
We may have some Potatoes and I am going to take a peak at the Carrots.

Saturday July 13th in Harrisburg and at Landscape Garden Center

Our first official Saturday Market of the year. It seems like we are late starting markets this year but our produce really looks great!! Lee will be in Harrisburg in front of White Wrapper Meats starting at 9. I will be at Landscape Garden Center on South Minnesota from 9-2.

We will have Spring Mix. Kale. Radishes. Green Beans. Snow Peas. Cauliflower. Broccoli. Fresh Chives.  Beets. Turnips. Lots of wonderful Cucumbers. (Contact us if you are looking for quantities of Green Beans or Cucumbers). We also will have Zucchini, yellow and green. Lee will also have some Yukon Gold Potatoes.

New this year: Mulberry Jam. Also Strawberry Rhubarb, Grape, Jalapeno Jelly and Apple Butter.  Banana Bread, Zucchini Bread and Chocolate Bread.   Also bringing some Dilly Beans, Bread and Butter Pickles, Pickled Beets, Salsa and Cucumber Relish.  Hope to see you tomorrow and have a great weekend!!

Wednesday in Harrisburg!! July 10th

Finally!!  In Harrisburg tomorrow I will have Cucumber, Green Beans, Snow Peas, Zucchini, Green and Yellow, Swiss Chard, Onions, Kale, Romaine and Spring Mix Lettuce.  I will also have a few Turnips and Beets and Radishes.   CSA customers can pick up in Harrisburg on Wednesday as well. Let me know if there is a conflict for you and you can pick it up on Saturday.  Also bringing some freshly made Zucchini Bread, Banana Bread, Chocolate Bread. An assortment of Jams including Mulberry and Strawberry Rhubarb.  Salsa, Pickled Beets, Bread and Butter Pickles and the first Dill Pickles of the season!!  Hope to see you in Harrisburg tomorrow 3-7!!

First Farmers Market of the year in Harrisburg Wed!!

 I am trying to meld my blog and Facebook together and trying to write on both but not as successful as I would like.  I will try and do better!! We have had a pretty productive few days!! I think we are caught up on weeding and getting into regular production. Tracie made an additional 56 jars of Mulberry Jam and we also picked some for freezing. Emily and Espen came out on Sunday and helped weed and pick Snow Peas and Mulberries. Also picked Zucchini and Cucumbers. Thank you Emily and Espen for your help and company!! Eddy and Henry e...njoy your visits also.

We still have some Mulberries if anyone is interested.. Today I made 32 Quarts of Dill Pickles (Mark's recipe) and 19 quarts of Dill Pickle Spears. Hoping to get Dilly Beans made tomorrow in addition to picking for Farmers Market in Harrisburg on Wednesday and CSA pickups. The list does not seem to get any shorter! Happy Mothers Day!!

What a great weekend. I hope all of you moms had a great Mothers Day!! We planted Beans, 3 kinds, Snow Peas, Turnips, Parsnips and Walla Walla Onions. Lettuce varieties, Spinach, Romaine, Arugula, Kale. We also planted 3 kinds of Cucumbers, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage and Red Cabbage also. Tomatoes and Peppers next. Should be done with the frost by now. The Strawberries and Rhubarb are really looking great. Enjoy the day and tomorrow is supposed to be 90.

Farmers Market Information for 2013 So Far!!

I wanted to update you with our current information related to Farmers Market this season. We will be both in Harrisburg in front of White Wrapper Meats on Wed Afternoon and Saturday Mornings. We are also going to be in Canton on Wednesday nights where the Farmers Market is held.  We will also be at Landscape Garden Center on South Minnesota avenue in Sioux Fals on Saturday mornings.

  I have thousands of plants ready to hit the dirt. The much needed rain and snow the last few weeks has put us a bit behind but Mother Nature is in control.  Putting the finishing touches on our 30x96 High Tunnel building and completing the order for one that will 30x96 and hope to have up my end of May.  Excited to extend our planting seasons.  We will be hatching our next batch of baby chickens on the 6th.  We will have range free fresh eggs for sale.  We are excited  see all of our loyal customers this summer as well as meet all our new friends.  We will be starting, hopefully, markets by mid June and starting  our CSA pickup/deliveries at the same time.  We received an additional 3 inches of snow this morning so hard to be upset about the moisture.

Welcome Spring!!

We had our second hatch of baby chicks on Easter Sunday and they are always soo cute when they are a few days old. CSA Shares Still available!

Hope you are all doing well and keeping warm with the cold weather we have been having lately!  Phil saw his shadow so only six more weeks still spring!!  I have started a number of plants inside: Broccoli,Cauliflower,Leeks,Onions,Cabbage, an assorment of Peppers, both sweet and hot, and some Tomatoes.  I am going to get some more seeds started today. We are working on finishing up the high tunnel, weather permitting, so that we can transplant as early as possible.

New Items we are going to try this season: Okra, Bunching Onions, Rutabagas,Yellow Snap Peas,Red Cabbage,Lemon Drop Peppers, Watermelon,Popcorn, Fennel, Sweet Potaotes,Pimentos Peppers and Haberos.  Also Watermelon, Muskmelons, and Cantaloupe. More to come on this....

We have started receiving share requests for our CSA weekly produce delivery for the 2013 season. We still have some shares available so please review our prior posts or email me and I can send you the sign up information. If you have already signed up Thank You. We are offering a Full share:  $550.00 This Share is adequate for a family of four
                             1/2 share:  $375.00  This Share is adequate for a family of two
                        Single share:  $200.00  This Share is a great way to get started and try us out to determine how much fresh produce you and your family use on a weekly basis.  Home delivery is available for $50.00 more for the season.
